About
A small crew, building an ocean.
Sedna is a space sim in the tradition of Elite: a cockpit, a frontier, and the freedom to make your own way across it. We’re building it on honest physics — Newtonian flight, finite fuel, real heat — inside a setting where every mechanic is derived from the world’s three great inventions rather than decreed by design fiat.
The game takes its name from the dwarf planet 90377 Sedna, whose once-in-11,400-year close approach gives the setting its founding myth — and from the Inuit goddess of the sea, whose severed fingers became the creatures of the ocean. Our colonies are her Fingers; our spacers are the creatures of her sea.
Sedna is in early development by Infonomic. Flight, multiplayer and weapons prototypes are already flying; the rest is being charted. If you’d like to follow along, write to us at info@infonomic.io.
